A selectmen’s candidates night is a go for Friday night, May 19 in the Wiscasset Elementary School cafeteria. The five candidates are on board and the location is reserved. We just need residents to show up to hear what the would-be board members have to say.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The newspaper will ask candidates a series of questions, then turn the floor over to residents to ask theirs. Sign up when you get there and we’ll call on speakers, getting to as many as time permits – one question each. Candidates will have allotted times to answer each question of the night. We’ll save a pocket of time at the end for candidates’ closing remarks.
