Chief Jeff Lange reported the following activity for May 7-13:

Arrest

On May 12, Carlton Raymond Jr., 69, of Whitefield, was arrested for operating a vehicle with an expired license.

Accident

On May 7, Bryan Blake, 31, of Augusta, crossed the center line with his blue SUV and sideswiped a black pickup driven by Brant Perkins, 59, of Boothbay. Minor injuries were reported.

There were 162 calls for service,including 98 property checks, 32 traffic or vehicle-related, one sex offender registration, one civil complaint, one unwanted subject transported to the hospital and another investigated, one problem with a juvenile, an investigation of harassment, an investigation of a violation of an order of protection, two cases of suspicious activity, several instances where police assisted citizens, an investigation of threatening, criminal mischief, an escort, a medical emergency in which the patient was transported to the hospital, several instances of community policing at Wiscasset Elementary School, an investigation of sex offenses, several cases of assisting other agencies, several welfare checks, two non-reportable accidents, an investigation of an animal complaint, and a special detail at Wiscasset Speedway.
