Wiscasset Police Blotter Nov. 26 - Dec. 2

The following activities were reported by Chief Jeff Lange for the week of Nov. 26 – Dec. 2.

 Arrests

On Nov. 26, Gregory Miller, 34, of Wiscasset, was arrested for a probation violation.

On Nov. 28, Lauren Witwicki, 27, of Wiscasset was arrested for OUI as part of a drug investigation.

On Nov. 30, Harry Hilton, 63, of Wiscasset was arrested for Harassment by phone.

On Dec. 1, Isaac Ward, 37, of Wiscasset, was arrested on two family matter warrants.

On Dec. 1, Helena Bader, 23, of Damariscotta was arrested for OUI.

On Dec. 1, Christine King, 52, of Wiscasset was arrested for OUI after an accident.

Summons

 On Nov. 26, Andrew Redmond, 28, of Augusta, was summonsed for speed.

Accidents

On Nov. 30, a vehicle struck an owl. The owl spent the night at the Wiscasset Police Department until it could be transported to Avian Haven, where it is recovering.

On Dec. 1, Christine King pulled over to let a car pass, then backed off the roadway into a ditch. She was arrested at the scene for OUI.

On Dec. 1, a vehicle crashed into the Ingram Fine Art building at 106 Main Street in Wiscasset. One person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one was in the business when the accident occurred.

There were 66 calls for service, including 25 that were traffic or parking-related; four domestic disturbance calls; assistance to other agencies including the Sheriff’s Office, Falmouth Police Department, Wiscasset Fire and Rescue, Wiscasset schools, and DHHS, and investigations into Harassment and Theft. There was also found and lost property, assistance to citizens, and community policing.
