Chief Jeff Lange reported the following activity for Oct. 22 through Nov. 18:

Arrests

On Oct. 24, Dakota Raven, 21, of Knox, was arrested on a warrant from Waldo County.

On Oct. 26, Matthew Plummer, 34, of Westport Island, was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault.

On Oct. 31, Dixie Gauthier, 39, of Wiscasset, was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release.

On Nov. 1, Patrick Moore, 33, of Dresden, was arrested on a family matter contempt warrant.

On Nov. 8, James Clark, 41, of Wiscasset, was arrested for Aggravated Operating After Habitual Offender Revocation, OUI with a prior, and Violating Conditions of Release.

On Nov. 14, Stuart Wyman, 26, of Wiscasset, was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant.

Summons

On Oct. 24, Chelsea Cameron, 31, of Damariscotta, was summonsed for Failure to Register a Vehicle.

On Nov. 3, Bonnie Cunningham, 72, of Nobleboro, was summonsed for Theft by Unauthorized Taking.

On Nov. 5, Ronnie Pisco, 66, of Jefferson, was summonsed for speeding.

On Nov. 13, a 15-year-old male juvenile was summonsed for Theft by Unauthorized Taking.

Accidents

On Nov. 1, Mary Taylor, 73, of Georgetown Texas, was driving southbound on Route 1 when she was struck by Judith Funk, 69, who was trying to turn onto Old Bath Road and turned in front of Taylor. Minor injuries reported.

On Nov. 4, Craig Saunders, 52, of Edgecomb, was driving northbound on Route 1 when he crossed the center line and sideswiped Erin Bailey, 41, of Westport Island. Minor damage, but no injuries.

On Nov. 5, Michael Schooley, 59, of Wiscasset, was merging into northbound Route 1 traffic while Robin Neal, 29, of Wiscasset, was turning from Dunkin Donuts. Neither driver saw the other, and they collided. Minor injuries, minor damage.

On Nov. 5, Lucila Davis, 71, of Wiscasset, was driving her Jeep Compass at a reported high rate of speed into the Lil’ Mart parking lot. Davis struck the building, then backed into a parked vehicle in the lot. Minor injuries were reported, and minor damage.

On Nov. 7, John Elwell, 60, of Boothbay struck a deer. No injuries to the driver were reported, and minor damage.

On Nov. 10, Mathias Richardson, 17, of Wiscasset, was involved in a rollover accident on Huntoon Hill Road. Minor injuries; the vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Nov. 13, Mark Ferrero, 45, of Nobleboro, was struck by Richard Mank, 65, of Wiscasset, while Mank was attempting to cross Gardiner Road from Hooper Street and did not see Ferrero.

 

During the weeks of Oct. 22 – Nov. 18, there were 283 calls for service. Many involved working with other agencies after the storm, doing cleanup and monitoring closed roads. Of the remainder, 71 were traffic-related. There were numerous welfare checks, one missing person who was later located, five harassment complaints, one burglary investigation and numerous burglar alarms that went off when the power was out during the storm, four drug complaints, a report of a smashed mailbox treated as criminal mischief, two reports of a possibly rabid raccoon which was not found, several issues related to juveniles, a civil complaint between landlord and tenant, another on a child custody dispute, a found wallet inside the portable toilet at the waterfront, and a complaint of loud noise (gunfire) at the Rod and Gun Club. There were several theft complaints, including shoplifting and drive-off gas thefts, and numerous calls to assist medical and fire personnel, including one structure fire. The rest were citizen assists or community policing.
