Chief Jeff Lange reported the following activity for the weeks of Sept. 17-25 and Sept. 26-Oct. 6:

Arrests

On Sept. 22, Gary Joslyn, 42, of Harpswell was arrested on a Felony Theft/Violations of Conditions or Release warrant.

Summonses

On Sept. 18, Jeffrey Pendleton, 47, of Warren was summonsed for speed.

On Sept. 18, Andrew Hermiz, 34, of Sterling Heights, Michigan was summonsed for speed.

On Sept. 22, Erick Bessey, 39, of Newcastle, was summonsed for speed.

On Sept. 23, William Hanson, 54, of Alna was summonsed for an unregistered vehicle, a Class E crime.

For the two-week period, the department responded to 149 calls for service. Fifty involved traffic stops or traffic details; 33 were for community policing, assists to other agencies, or assists to citizens. Eight were for suspicious activity, including checking on welfare of people sleeping in their car.; 11 calls involved juveniles, including an underage drinking party and intoxicated juveniles. One of the juveniles was transported to the hospital. Other calls included theft complaints including an IRS telephone scam; harassment complaints, lost and found property calls, and burglar alarms.
