Chief Jeff Lange reported the following activity between Aug. 27 and Sept. 3.

Summonses

On Aug. 30, Travis Work, 32, of Lisbon Falls, was summonsed for Theft.

On Aug. 30, Jeffrey Daniello, 59, of Auburn, was summonsed for Attaching False Plates.

Accidents

On Sept. 2, Kevin Heyniger, 53, of Rockland, was driving a 2004 Toyota Sienna northbound on Route 1 with a juvenile passenger in the vehicle. He rear-ended Larry Jewett, 59, of Wiscasset, who was also traveling northbound. Both Jewett and his wife Carol Jewett, 59, of Wiscasset, complained of pain from the accident. They were evaluated by Wiscasset Rescue and released on scene.

Calls for Service

Of 100 calls for service, 51 were vehicle/traffic related, including one warning for distracted driving (texting). One incident was of an elderly man directing traffic on Route 1, but officers could not find him. Speed and OUI details for the Labor Day weekend were in force, but no one was arrested for OUI in Wiscasset. Other calls included serving paperwork for harassment and orders of protection; warnings for disorderly conduct; the investigation of an unwanted subject; intervention in an ongoing neighborhood dispute; a found ATM card that was returned to the bank; six calls assisting with medical emergencies; a fireworks complaint; two welfare checks and a check on a missing person who called from out of state and was fine; assistance to the Maine State Police; and assistance for three concealed carry permits.
