If you're reminiscing about “the good ole' days” and looking for some fun summer entertainment close to home, look no further than Boothbay Harbor. The cast and crew of the Carousel Music Theater in Boothbay Harbor has once again extended an invitation to senior groups to join them in their upcoming 2017 matinee performances.

New for 2017 all the entertainment will be moving to the stage show and dessert will be served at intermission. Matinee seats at noon and will feature choice of soup or chowder, deli sandwiches, and dessert with the stage show to begin at 1 p.m.

Scheduled 2017 matinees are as follows:

Thursday, July 6 and Wednesday, July 19 - “Life is but a Bandstand Dream,” Dick Clark Presents Music of the ’50s

Thursday, Aug. 3 and Wednesday, Aug. 16 - “It's a Grand Night for Singing,” Broadway revue from the award winning team of Rogers and Hammerstein

Thursday, September 7 and Wednesday, September 20 - “Hold Tight It's ’60s Night,” Travel Back as America Comes of Age
