The Wiscasset Senior Center held its annual members' breakfast and election meeting on Saturday, June 24. Marge Pooler was nominated and unanimously elected as a new trustee. Outgoing chairman, Bill Maloney, was thanked for his years of service to the organization and was presented with a certificate of appreciation. Bill was then honored with a standing ovation for his service as both chairman and treasurer.

Check the bulletin board at the senior center for the most recent “discounts for senior citizens” list. There are many discounts at various stores and businesses that are available for those 55 and older.

The next community supper on Wednesday, July 5 will feature roast pork, with potatoes, veggies, soup, salad, cake and a beverage. Reservations for this meal must be made by noon on Monday, July 3 by calling 882-8230. Chicken is available as an alternative but must be specified with the meal reservation. All are welcome!

The cribbage scores for Thursday, June 8 were Ruth Gilbert first (844), Joan Grondin second (821), a tie for third with Bob Gilman and Gracie Urquhart (814), Arlene Steen low score (740) and a tie for high hand with Dick Grondin and Arlene Steen (24).

The cribbage scores for Tuesday, June 13 were Marge Pooler first (843), Joan Grondin second (831), a tie for third with Ken Colby and Sally Sherman (824), Larry Rines low score (755) and a tie for high hand with Joan Grondin and Blanche Johnson (24).

The cribbage scores for Thursday, June 15 were Luis Serrano first (831), Patty Bridgham second (830), Diane Robinson third (825), Joe Campbell low score (702) and a tie for high hand with Ken Colby and Luis Serrano (21).

The cribbage scores for Thursday, June 22 were June Caton first (844), Marlene Rines second (827), Ann Merry third (822), Linden Simmons low score (724) and Diane Robinson high hand (21).
