Wiscasset Town Manager Marian Anderson released the following statement via email Tuesday afternoon, with a subject line of “code enforcement resignation”:

“Stan Waltz, Wiscasset’s Town Code Officer’s last day will be Friday, June 29, 2018.

“Please join me in wishing Stan well as he slows down a bit and works for (a) few less towns. Some of us can remember the day when Stan was the CEO for more than eight towns and a mentor to many.

“He was the 2017 Midcoast CEO of the year, and his hometown of Nobleboro dedicated the 2018 town report to him. His friendly kind manner will be missed here in Wiscasset.”
