    She was born Dec. 17, 1923 in Lowell, Massachusetts, daughter of Laurence and Anne Richardson, and grew up in Concord, Massachusetts. She attended Westbrook Junior College, earned her nursing degree from Newton Wellesley Hospital in 1945, and a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University in 1978.

    He was born on July 16, 1928, in Stoneham, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Hjalmar and Levon (Payson) Cederstrom.

    Mary Marion Patrick, 69, died Jan. 7, 2015 at St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor.

    She was born Nov. 1, 1945 in Augusta, the daughter of Stephen and Harriet Pease Patrick.

    Mary grew up on Glenhaven Circle in Saco and graduated from Thornton Academy.

    She later earned a master’s degree in education and worked many years as a teacher and an administrator at Boothbay Region High School.

    She was predeceased by her parents.

    She was a kind and generous person and was always thinking and doing for others.

    Bill was born Feb. 9, 1943 the son of William and Dorothea Weare of Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

    He attended local schools in Longmeadow and attended college in Boston, Massachusetts. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army and was in the Vietnam War.

    Bill was born on March 15, 1933 in Bath, the son of the late Maxcy and Edna (Wilson) Lewis. Growing up on Barters Island, he attended local schools. Bill then joined the U.S. Army, serving his country from 1950 to 1953 during the Korean War. Upon returning to Maine, he began a career working around the water.

    She was born in Boothbay Harbor, daughter of James E. and Regina Matthews Keene.

    Brenda grew up in Boothbay and attended local schools. She joined the Jobs Corps in 1967 and returned to Boothbay and took care of Dr. Harold Clifford's wife.

    She was a member of the East Boothbay Methodist Church and a former member of the Eastern Stars.

    Dr. Wanger was born in 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, the eldest son of two physicians, Dr. Halvard “Hal” Wanger and Dr. Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” McFetridge, who operated a small-town medical practice out of their home office in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

    He was born in West Newfield on Nov. 13, 1945, a son of Arthur and Kathleen (Reed) Ashton. He graduated from Morse High School in Bath, Class of 1965 and later that year married Gloria Pinkham on Oct. 17.

    William Alden “Bull” Dodge, 67, of East Boothbay died Dec. 18, 2014.

    Bull was born May 7, 1946 and lived his whole life in East Boothbay. He attended local schools.

    He worked for Richard “Pye” Lewis, helping with masonry, Jimmy Juliano on the docks in Boothbay Harbor, and was a sternman for Lawrence Durfee for many years.

    He looked forward to going to his cousin Frank’s camp in Alna every year for deer hunting and Thanksgiving.

    Dr. John Fraser Andrews Sr., 94, of Boothbay Harbor died peacefully on the morning of Dec. 1, 2014. Dr. Andrews, son of Chester Houston and Marjorie Fraser Andrews, was born on May 29, 1920 in Norwood, Massachusetts. He graduated from Walpole High School and attended Deerfield Academy for one year. He was a graduate of Amherst College (class of 1943) but left in 1941 until the end of the war to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard.

    Laura Mae Ezzell Travis, 23, died unexpectedly on Nov. 22, 2014.

    She was born in Damariscotta on Dec. 5, 1990, the daughter of Audra Ezzell and Doug Brown and Mark Ezzell. 

    Laura attended school at Wiscasset High School and Old Town High School.  She worked and cared for others as a CNA. She married her high school sweetheart, Whitney Travis, and they were blessed with a handsome little boy, Brycen Arthur Travis.

  • Driver arrested

    Bicyclist killed in Waldoboro

    WALDOBORO — A young man who had been riding his bike in Waldoboro was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday night, Nov. 22.

    According to Police Chief William Labombarde, at approximately 8:34 p.m. Waldoboro police and a Waldoboro ambulance crew responded to Feylers Corner Road, where they found Jessie Hayden. He had been struck by a 1999 GMC Yukon, police reported.

    Edgar J. Krebs, 88, passed away Nov. 19, 2014 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta. He was born Jan. 18, 1926 in Germany to Karl and Emma Krebs.

    He grew up in Germany and obtained a pastry chef education. He was an undefeated lightweight boxer. He was honored in Manhattan by his German Boxing Club for his impressive undefeated career 20 years ago.

    After high school, she worked for a short time as a medical secretary. She met Albert Annable at The Bridge restaurant on Cape Cod. Jeannette and Albert got married in Macon, Georgia where Albert was stationed in the military.
