Samantha Hersom of Edgecomb was awarded a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, Mass. during an outdoor ceremony held at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion on Boston’s waterfront on Friday, May 23.

Graduation honors retiring WMS principal

Seven graduate from Edgecomb Eddy

Amanda Silverman graduates from Beloit
Amanda Silverman of Dresden graduated from Beloit College on Sunday, May 18. Silverman earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.Beloit College is a leading liberal arts college founded on the Wisconsin frontier in 1846. The college draws students from 48 states and 30 countries to its campus along the Rock River on the Illinois-Wisconsin stateline.

The Wiscasset Senior Center Scholarship Committee met on April 18 and decided that the recipient of this year's $1,000 scholarship would be Wiscasset High School senior, Cassius Carr. At the public supper last Wednesday the Scholarship Committee presented the $1,000 check to Cassius.
