Call to Artists for Art Under the Tent at The Lincoln Home

Mon, 08/09/2021 - 10:45am
The Lincoln Home is inviting artists to exhibit and sell their work at our  ART UNDER THE TENT SALE on Sunday September 12, from 11-5 p.m.  All mediums are welcome; paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, and fine craft.

We will have live music that day with Orville Lee, The Oyster Creek Fiddlers and Sandy River Ramblers.  Food trucks and Sadie the Bar Car will be offering food and drinks for sale.  This is the 3rd and final event of our Outdoor Summer Series. Rain date is Sept 19.

Exhibiting artists will have an 8’ space under a tent provided by Lincoln Home.  A  table can be provided, or  artists can bring their own exhibit to have in the 8’ space.  There is a $25 fee per artist to help offset the cost of tent rental.  Sales of art will be handled with patrons making checks to Lincoln Home, who will retain a 20 percent commission.  You will receive a check for 80 percent of the purchase price. Artists must be present to oversee their booths.

The Lincoln Home is a non-profit, and all proceeds from these events go to help fund our Resident Assistance Fund that helps residents who have exhausted their resources. As one of the few remaining non-profit senior living communities in Maine, we rely on the support of generous sponsors and donors each year to perpetuate our mission as a nonprofit organization.

Please RSVP as soon as possible, as space is limited.  Email Kim Traina @ jumpstartcreative@gmail.com to reserve and confirm if a table is needed.  Your check for $25 should be made out and mailed to The Lincoln Home, 22 River Road, Newcastle, ME. 04553. Att: Lorrie Winslow.
