New Hope for Women, Midcoast Maine’s only domestic violence resource center serving Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo Counties since 1981, recently received a donation of several new fall jackets for the next Pop Up Shop scheduled for August, 2021. Extra jackets were donated to various nonprofit organizations within New Hope for Women’s four-county catchment area. In Sagadahoc and Lincoln Counties, donations were made to Amistad.

Amistad assists individuals with substance abuse recovery through a respectful, network that focuses on building positive peer relationships. The jackets will be used for individuals and families in need and will provide a bit of warmth as the cold season approaches.

New Hope for Women extends a special thanks to Sierra Dietz of the Grasshopper Shop in Rockland for assisting with transporting the jackets to Rockland. The jackets, along with a full selection of new and gently used quality women’s clothing and accessories, will be on sale at New Hope for Women’s 2021 Pop Up Shop. Those interested in donating clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags, scarves, hats and the like should contact New Hope for Women at (207) 594-2128 or jlemole@newhopeforwomen.org to arrange for pick up or drop off.
