New Hope for Women, Midcoast Maine’s only domestic violence resource center serving Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo Counties since 1981, recently received a donation of several new fall jackets for the next Pop Up Shop scheduled for August, 2021. Extra jackets were donated to various nonprofit organizations within New Hope for Women’s four-county catchment area. In Knox County, donations were made to Knox County Homeless Coalition and to Oceanside High School.

Knox County Homeless Coalition seeks to break the cycle of homelessness by providing comprehensive wrap-around services. Oceanside High School provides a once monthly clothing event from which students may choose items they need. The jackets will be used for families in need and will provide a bit of warmth as the cold season approaches.

New Hope for Women extends a special thanks to Sierra Dietz of the Grasshopper Shop in Rockland for assisting with transporting the jackets to Rockland. The jackets, along with a full selection of new and gently used quality women’s clothing and accessories, will be on sale at New Hope for Women’s 2021 Pop Up Shop. Those interested in donating clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags, scarves, hats and the like should contact New Hope for Women at (207) 594-2128 or jlemole@newhopeforwomen.org to arrange for pick up or drop off.
