June 5 at 3pm at the Strand Theatre in Rockland
A Family Series special event, presented by Queer Kids Stuff. Appropriate for all ages!

Join us in celebrating PRIDE! We’re going back in time to talk about the roots of PRIDE with our kid-friendly historical retelling of Stonewall and the creation of our beloved Rainbow Flag. We’ll sing pride-themed originals and covers along the way as we learn about LGBTQ+ history!

This hour-long performance will have a limited capacity in-person audience (75 people, or 22%) with general admission seating; AND a Livestream option. The Livestream video can be streamed after the event throughout the month of June.

About the artist: In 2015, Founder Lindsay ‘Lindz’ Amer and their best stuffed friend Teddy created Queer Kid Stuff, an LGBTQ+ and social justice webseries for kids. They explain queer topics through a vlog-style conversation with young viewers focused on love and family. The short videos are a tool for parents, teachers, and LGBTQ+ adults to help them explain these words and ideas to young children in their lives, recommended for all ages.

Since then, Queer Kid Stuff has become so much more than a webseries -- growing into an edutainment staple for schools, libraries, childcare centers, and events aiming to provide energetic and informative performances about all things LGBTQ+.

In 2021, Lindz was awarded the most prestigious Maine award an artist can get -- a Maine Arts Fellowship in the "Media Arts" category from the Maine Arts Commission! This grant is awarded to only one artist per year in each category. See Awards Page
