Bands For Books library fundraiser Sept. 6

Sat, 08/21/2021 - 7:45am

Bands for Books is less than one month away! Have you reserved your tickets? We hope you will join us on Labor Day, Sept. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seafield Farm in Wiscasset. This annual fundraiser for Wiscasset Public Library is a wonderful community celebration.

The Friends of WPL are truly grateful for the backing this event has received. It takes a “prettiest little village” to put on Band for Books, and we couldn’t do it without our amazing volunteers, sponsors and community partners. Thank you all!

Our historic library has been a vibrant part of our town for more than 200 years. Incorporated as a nonprofit organization, WPL depends on the support of the constituents it serves. Show your support! We encourage you to thank the people and establishments that have provided financial sponsorship. Patronize the local businesses that have contributed to our silent auction. Thriving businesses, involved citizens and a vital library combine to make Wiscasset an exceptional community.

Email the Friends at Wiscasset.Library.Friends@gmail.com to reserve your tickets at the advance purchase price. If you’d prefer to buy your tickets now, they are available at the library or at our Wiscasset Art Walk (Aug. 26) ticket table, near In The Clover. Advance purchase tickets are $20; at the door, $25.
