A BeadforLife Sale will take place in the Admiral Room at Fisherman’s Wharf Inn on Friday, Oct. 5 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 7 from noon to 5 p.m. to raise awareness and funding for impoverished people living in Uganda.

Beautiful bead jewelry made from recycled paper, and shea butter products made in Uganda will be available for purchase.

BeadforLife is a nonprofit and a member of the Fair Trade Federation that works to eradicate extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads. Women in Northern Uganda gather shea nuts and press them into shea butter for cosmetics and soaps.

Fisherman’s Wharf Inn is located at 22 Commercial St. in Boothbay Harbor.
