Benefit raffle for Wormwood family

Bonnie and Chris Wormwood of Westport Island lost their home to a fire Feb. 27 and friends have put together a raffle to raise money for the Wormwoods.

Many local businesses and individuals have donated prizes, with a combined value of $1,400, for the raffle and chances are being sold for $10 each at Coastal Maine Popcorn, Brady’s Restaurant and Hawke Motors. The drawing for the one big prize will be held Monday, April 1.

Prizes have been donated by Abacus Gallery, Nancy Cressey, Angie Soohey, Donald Soohey, Pinkham’s Gourmet Market, Julie Harlow, Brady’s Restaurant, Sharyn Cola, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, On Board Fabrics, Boothbay Village Market, Oak Street Cafe, Girl Scout Troop 525, Robinson’s Wharf, Hawke Motors, Candie Crocker, Balmy Days, Amylynn Balsdon, Aura Hair Design, Amelia, Mama D’s, Blake’s Boatyard, Sweet Bay, Tom and Patty Minerich-Seawick Candle, A Silver Lining, Janson’s, Drifted Design, Coastal Maine Popcorn, Shannon’s Unshelled, Susan Whitehouse, Oceanside Golf Resort, East Boothbay General Store, Healing Touch Massage, Gudroe Technology Group, Martha Holbrook, Topside Inn, Harbor Mart and Melanie Greene.
