Bernard Ruane Cunningham, 79, passed away peacefully on Sept. 1, 2021 at his home at Washington Manor in Washington, Maine.

Ruane was born on Jan. 18, 1942 to Lucille (Bryer) and Bernard Cunningham in Boothbay, Maine. He grew up in Boothbay and attended local schools. Ruane was a clam digger most of his life. He is predeceased by his parents and survived by his brother Carroll Cunningham of Boothbay and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ocean Point Road, Route 96, Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
