The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program of Lincoln County is pleased to announce the 2021 campaign. This year, we will continue with the online application process. In 2020, due to the generosity of Lincoln County residents, businesses and volunteers, the program provided new toys to 683 children in need in Lincoln County.

At http://wiscasset.me@toysfortots.org, residents can request a toy, sign up to volunteer, or host a Toys for Tots event, and businesses can request a drop box for toy donations.

The registration period for single family and non-profit organizations to request toys runs until Dec. 15. Applicants will receive up-to-date emails with information on their application and distribution sites. The distribution of toys for single families will be held at Huntoon Hill Grange, Wiscasset in December.. Families must bring documentation to the distribution sites to show they qualify for the toys. The current qualifications are: Parent/guardian and child must be current Lincoln County residents; child(ren) must be 0 to 17 years old; parent/guardian must be able to prove residency and have some form of proof for the child/ren they are applying for; and nonprofits with over 25 families must supply a Federal Tax Identification number.

We are excited about the 2021 campaign. We are in need of Lincoln County businesses to take donation boxes/jars. We have a bingo fundraiser Oct. 24 at Huntoon Hill Grange. Doors open at 12 p.m. and bingo starts at 2. We’re in need of donations for this event. We’re also hoping to set up a few toy drives at different locations in Lincoln County this year. The program provides new unwrapped toys for children in need at Christmas. By providing a brand new gift, each of us can help less fortunate children believe someone cares and that the magic of the holiday season hasn’t passed them by.
