Wiscasset Primary School is looking forward to welcoming the children of our new kindergarten class. These are children who will be five years of age on or before October 15, 2013. Please contact Louann or Sonia at 207-882-7585 with information about your child. Important dates to remember this spring are the following:

Thursday, May 16, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.: You will have the opportunity to meet various staff members including the secretary, guidance counselor, nurse, principal, specialists, special education, Title 1 staff, Partners in Education parent group, etc. Registration information will be distributed during this visit and you will make an appointment for May 28 or 29 to enable school staff to administer a readiness assessment to your child called the Early Prevention of School Failure (EPSF). We look forward to meeting you.

Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29: Kindergarten screening, one hour appointments. Parents will complete the registration process for the incoming kindergarten child and may have the opportunity to meet the school nurse, school counselor or social worker, while children visit with school staff to complete an assessment (EPSF).

There will be a kindergarten get together in August; more information to come.
