Melody In Motion

Celebrating land and sea with the Halcyon String Quartet

Event has passed

On Saturday, July 31 Bristol Marine at the Shipyard, 120 Commercial St. in Boothbay Harbor will host a summer evening of music and imagery celebrating children’s sea and science programming at the Boothbay Sea and Science Center and the majestic coastline of Maine.

Beginning at 7 p.m., Melody in Motion will feature Halcyon – one of Maine’s finest string quartets – with Sophie Davis and Josie Davis on violin, Colin Wheatley on viola, and Nora Willauer playing the cello.

At this truly unique 2021 fundraising event, offered as both an in-person at the Shipyard and virtual for those who would like to enjoy it from home, video artist Luke Fatora pairs the melody of the music with the movement of the moment through sensational breathtaking videography.

The concert committee - Kate Horgan, Deezie Flower, Penny Pollard, Hillary Friedman, and Leanne Pander - is hard at work to bring you this most unforgettable concert!

Tickets for the on-site performance are $100 per person (we are limiting ticket sales for the onsite performance to ensure social distancing) and for the livestream performance are $35 individual and $65 group ticket.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the BSSC website or go straight to Brown Paper Tickets’ site:

Proceeds from the concert to benefit the Boothbay Sea and Science Center.
