River Company is excited to once again produce “A Christmas Carol” in the Porter Hall at Skidompha Public Library Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10 directed by Nick Azzaretti.
This being the first production live at Skidompha in a few years, River Company is pleased that it is with the critically acclaimed Orson Wells adaptation of the Campbell Theatre, broadcast of Dec. 24, 1939, that will start up this holiday tradition once again.
As 2022 draws toward it’s close River Company invites everyone to join them in a wonderful holiday story with caroling. A great way to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit.
Charles Dickens wrote “A Christmas Carol” in 1843 to advance the moral ideals associated with Christmas - generosity, kindness, universal love, and that we are all responsible for the welfare of our community. With that in mind, and keeping with the tradition that the holiday show be a fundraiser, River Company will donate the proceeds from both productions to a local charity.
River Company provides a space where live theater is made by, with, and for the community. Artists can gain theatrical experience that fosters artistic growth. Whether you are a member or want to start a new tradition, River Company welcomes you to join us with family and friends at the holiday production in Porter Hall at Skidompha Library.
Shows: Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p..m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for those 18 and under. Purchase them at https://rivercompany.ticketspice.com/acc.
