The public is invited to a Community Contradance at the Damariscotta Baptist Church Hall on Friday, Nov. 8 — part of an ongoing series of second Friday of the month contradances.
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dances accompanied by the Oyster Creek Fiddlers & Friends until 8 p.m. Local musicians are welcome to sit in. No experience is necessary and all dances will be taught.
This contradance series is an initiative by local musicians and Lincoln Academy students. It is a fundraiser for the Friends of Music Education at Great Salt Bay School.
Suggested donations are $5/adults, $3/students, $10/most families, and little kids are free.
The church is located at the corner of Bristol Road and Main Street.
The next dance will be on Dec.13. So you best be dusting off your dancing shoes!
