Cub Scout Pack 271
Six Scouts (two girls and four boys) attended the Scout Winter Fun Day at Camp Hinds in Raymond on Jan. 27. Activities included ice fishing, a Lego Car Derby, a triathlon, shooting competition, and a timed obstacle course.
This Thursday, Feb. 1 the scouts will meet at the American Legion Hall, 36 Industrial Park Road in Boothbay from 5:30-7 p.m. They will be working on their First Aid badge, reviewing items needed for the Klondike Derby at the Bath Maritime Museum on Feb. 10; and working on the special service on Thursday, Feb. 8, the date of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America in 1910.
On Saturday, Feb. 3 the Scouts will be serving at the American Legion dinner, which begins at 5:30 p.m.
Interested in Scouting? Pack 271 is open to kids - boys and girls - in grades 1 through 5 who live in the Boothbay region, Wiscasset, Damariscotta ... pretty much anywhere in Lincoln County! The Pack meets every Thursday at the Boothbay American Legion from 5:30-7 p.m.
