Democracy gives every voter power
Humans are social animals whose systems are organized to connect and protect each other. As we developed, villages emerged where people helped one another with food, water and a purpose in life. As time moved forward many villages became towns, cities and states with connecting infrastructure in roads and waterways. Size did not change the role of a community. It remained a place of personal relationships with governing protections to insure constitutional freedoms and to be safe in our communities.
Democracy is most visible in its goals. In one sentence, democracy is government by the people,d especially ruled by a majority. It is government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections. Free elections also mean free of cost and free for community members to participate in.
Democracy is a system that works when its initial design is honored. When constraints are applied denying the people’s direct majority vote is removed by a minority, the system begins to look more like Communism we have personally witnessed inside Russia where voting is controlled, demonstrations are controlled, and leaders are selected by the top and remain unopposed when voting is set.
Due to the immense size our communities divide government responsibilities to better meet the personal requirements of safety and protection, especially of our children. Our children are facing dangers in unexpected places.
They have been attacked and addicted by pharma, doctors and inadequate protections by the government. They are also most vulnerable to sexual attacks by strangers and family. Government has failed here as well. Social media and other technologies have made this more horrific as experienced in New Mexico.
Improving safety will focus heavily on the communities who are closest to children in their towns and cities. The key is in respecting democracy and honoring the direct majority votes taken. Voting honored includes voting from every eligible community member. Democracy gave every voter power. This week your vote can protect families and neighbors at your community’s location.
