The Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands (BPL) and Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust will be hosting a tour of the recent harvest operation at Dodge Point in Newcastle at noon on Tuesday, May 11. Participants will learn about forest management goals for the property and get an overview of the harvest that has taken place over the past two winters.

BPL, a division of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, owns and manages Dodge Point, while Coastal Rivers assists with local stewardship of the popular hiking destination.

The group will hike approximately one mile over uneven terrain.
