Forum on November ballot questions in Thomaston Nov. 3

Coastal Senior College of Knox and Lincoln counties and the Midcoast League of Women Voters will co-sponsor a forum on the upcoming four fall ballot questions. This event is free and will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at Watts Hall, 170 Main Street, in Thomaston. The League of Women Voters will provide a moderator.

Spokespersons for each side of Question 1: An Act To Allow Slot Machines or a Casino in York County, and Question 2: An Act To Enhance Access to Affordable Health Care, have been invited to make their case, with an opportunity for responses by each side with questions from the floor to follow.

Information about Question 3: An Act To Authorize a General Fund Bond Issue to Improve Highways, Bridges and Multimodal Facilities and Upgrade Municipal Culverts and Question 4: Resolution, Proposing an Amendment to the Constitution of Maine To Reduce Volatility in State Pension Funding Requirements Caused by the Financial Markets will also be available.
