Garden Club of Wiscasset installs new officers

    Garden Club of Wiscasset (GCW) held its annual luncheon and business meeting June 3 in the beautiful terrace area of Montsweag Farm Restaurant. Members were able to enjoy one another’s company in person after a year of Zoom meetings due to COVID- 19.

    President Beth Maxwell presented certificates of appreciation to Lisa Freeman and Terry Heller for their generosity and achievements over the past year to the Garden Club and community.

    As part of the Medomak District of The Garden Club Federation of Maine, members voted to approve the slate of District officers and Nominating Committee delegates. This includes garden clubs of Bath, Boothbay Region, Camden, Topsham and Wiscasset.

    Members voted to approve and then installed the new slate of officers for GCW as follows: president, Lisa Freeman; vice president, Robin Grant; recording secretary, Canny Cahn; corresponding secretary, Virginia Forrest; and treasurer, Ann Light.

    After a lovely installation ceremony, President Lisa Freeman gave a gift and thanked  Beth Maxwell for her excellent leadership over the past two years as president.
