December proved to be a busy and fun month for members with our participation in Wiscasset’s Marketfest, with the decorating the foyer and Christmas tree at the Nickels-Sortwell historic home.

Members at our December meeting enjoyed piano music by member Terry Heller and delicious snacks by hospitality committee members as holiday baskets were made for town buildings, libraries, Meals on Wheels recipients, assisted living facilities and elderly club members.

Our Jan. 10 meeting will be a potluck luncheon and business meeting at First Congregational Church in Wiscasset.

Our Feb. 7 meeting will feature a program at 1 p.m. on native ground covers, presented by Hildy Ellis of the Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District. That meeting will also be at First Congregational Church in Wiscasset.
