Up next at the Harbor Theater drive-in movie is the comedy/adventure film, “Ghostbusters” on Tuesday, July 27.
The film will be shown at the Meadow Mall parking lot. It’s free (thanks to a generous community member), so come early to find your spot. Limit is 70 cars. Gates open at 8:30 p.m., feature starts at 9. The film is Rated PG and runs 1 hour 46 minutes.
This is the original 1984 film. Come and re-discover Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as the scientists who lose their posts at a New York City university and decide to become "ghostbusters," earning money by waging a high-tech battle with the supernatural. An ad campaign pays off when a cellist (Sigourney Weaver) hires the squad to purge her swanky digs of demons that appear to be living in her refrigerator. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction.
All drive-in movies are subject to the weather. The Ultimate Outdoor Movie Company, that brings us the big 30-foot screen, audio and equipment, must decide by 11 a.m. of the day of the movie if the wind and weather are suitable to mount the huge blow-up screen, and if it will be safe for their audio equipment. If we must cancel or postpone, we will announce it on the theater road sign, on Facebook and through the Harbor Theater newsletter. Thanks for your understanding.
We hope to have a new date for the showing of “Raiders of the Lost Ark” soon. A third attempt should be the right one!
