Those seeking to know more about local paranormal occurrences are invited to a presentation by author Greg Latimer on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the Windjammer Emporium in Boothbay Harbor. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. and is expected to last 60 minutes.

Latimer is the author of “Ghosts of the Boothbay Region” as well as research director for MysteriousDestinationsMagazine.com, an online publication that explores mysteries throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean. He has also authored “Haunted Damariscotta.” Both books are published by the History Press/Arcadia Publishing, the largest historical publisher in the world.

He is an award winning investigative reporter and a former Los Angeles area police evidence photographer who has transferred this skill set into exploring the paranormal and other mysteries in a logical, level-headed fashion.

The presentation will cover a selection of the local haunts described in Latimer's book, along with some updates on published stories, and those yet to be published. There will also be a question and answer section, and a book signing.
