Maine’s autumn bounty will be the source for the Lincoln County Democratic Committee’s (LCDC) Harvest Dinner, to be held at the more than 100-year-old Kings Mills Union Hall, 901 Townhouse Road in Whitefield on Sunday, Oct. 14.

The meal will include hearty stews, chowders, breads, cider, and pies — all made with locally harvested produce — and will kick off at 5 p.m.

“The LCDC is thrilled to invite folks from across Lincoln County and beyond to experience the fellowship that comes from sharing a harvest meal in the midst of communities experiencing a farming renaissance,” said Valarie Johnson of Somerville, chair of the event.

Attendees may pay at the door or reserve a space through the secure portal at http://lincolncountydemocrats.com/harvest. Meals will be $15 and children under 10 will eat free of charge. Opportunities to be an official host for the event are available for $50.

For more information or to become a host, please contact Valarie Johnson at 549-3358 or ValarieSmithJohnson@gmail.com.
