Make healthy eating a part of your total lifestyle. Join registered dietitian Louise Spate on Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. at Spectrum Generations’ Coastal Community Center for a candid discussion about the benefits of eating a nutritious diet and how to eat for healthy aging.

Spate has worked in a variety of consulting and management roles for more than 40 years with Kindred Healthcare and very closely with dementia patients in single facilities. She is a well-respected consultant, manager and speaker on dietary issues related to healthy aging.

Good nutrition is important at any age. Eating well helps you feel your best each day and helps prevent or manage heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers. Eating well all the time can be a challenge. So can figuring out whether or not food supplements will be helpful or harmful.

Share your thoughts and let Spate answer your questions. Participation fee is $5. To register, call 563-1363.
