Live performances return to the Lincoln Theater stage in Damariscotta the weekend of June 17 for five performances only of LCCT’s newest production, Wendy MacLeod’s “Women in Jeopardy!”
It’s Chardonnay Tuesday. It’s supposed to be ladies only. Yet, Liz (Christina Belknap) has brought her newest beau, Jackson Scull (Tom Handel), with her. Not only is he a dentist, but he is also just plain creepy. Liz ’s best friends, Mary (Jennifer True) and Jo (Nanette Hennig Fraser), want Liz to be happy, but they can’t help wondering if Jackson may be a serial killer. And let’s face it…. Friends don’t let friends date serial killers. When Jackson is linked to a mysterious disappearance and a questionable relationship with Liz’s daughter Amanda (Mallory Adams), Mary and Jo turn their book club into a mash-up of Nancy Drew, “Murder She Wrote” and “Sex and the City.” And, as if that wasn’t enough, what’s the deal with Amanda’s snowboarder ex-boyfriend Trenner (River Carlyle)?
According to the Boston Globe, “The laughs in Wendy MacLeod’s play, come fast and furious…It’s all good, silly fun…”
Performances are Thursday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 19 at 2 and 7:30 p.m., with a closing final performance Sunday, June 20 at 2 p.m.

You might say that “Thelma and Louise” meets “The First Wives Club” in this fun and flirtatious comedy. Under the direction of John Mulcahy, imaginations run wild as the ladies trade in their wine glasses for spy glasses to discover the truth and to save their friend in a hilarious off-road adventure. Get your tickets now and get ready to laugh.
