Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Three arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 178 calls for service for the period of Oct. 29 to Nov. 5. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 12,182 calls for service.

On Nov. 2, Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a report of a burglary/theft/criminal mischief in the Boothbay area. This case is currently under investigation.

Arrests

Christopher G. Chapman, 50, of Dresden was arrested Oct. 31 on a Lincoln County warrant for Criminal Mischief, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Lenan Garricks, 33, of Wiscasset was arrested Nov. 1 for violating a Protection Order, on Friendship Street, Waldoboro, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

Jeremiah E. Lucas, 22, of Edgecomb was arrested Nov. 1 for Operating under the Influence, Operating after Habitual Offender Revocation – Prior and Violating Condition of Release, on Cross Point Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy David Bellows, who was assisted by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.

Accidents

On Oct. 29, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Scott Smith, 47, of Boothbay Harbor. Mr. Smith was operating his 2006 Chevrolet 1500 southbound when he struck a deer in the roadway. Sgt. Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 1, an accident occurred on Cross Point Road in Edgecomb involving Jeremiah E. Lucas, 22, of Edgecomb. Mr. Lucas was operating his 1986 Honda CMX450 northbound when his motorcycle left the roadway on the right side, struck a mailbox and overturned on the embankment. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 2, an accident occurred on Pond Road in Newcastle involving Hollis G. Farnsworth, 18, of Newcastle. Mr. Farnsworth was operating his 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound, rounding a curve and due to driver inexperience and speed, he crossed the centerline and then over corrected, causing the vehicle to spin around and come to rest in a ditch. Mr. Farnsworth then struck a street sign, however, the sign was not damaged. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 2, an accident occurred on Hendricks Hill Road on Southport involving Gerald J. McGrail, 51, of Southport. Mr. McGrail was operating his 2017 Toyota Tundra northbound and starting to round a curve, when a deer ran into the roadway and struck the driver’s side of his vehicle. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 4, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Dana Kilcrease, 60, of Dresden. Mr. Kilcrease was operating his 2006 Mazda Tribute westbound when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to go off the roadway and roll over. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 4, an accident occurred on Andrew D. Allen, 54, of Jefferson. Mr. Allen was operating his 2010 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound and as he was proceeding forward, a deer entered the travel lane from a field area and was struck. Deputy Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 4, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Samantha M. Beckim, 32, of Bath. Ms. Beckim was operating her 2016 Nissan Altima northbound when a deer crossed the road and was struck, causing damage to the vehicle front driver’s corner. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
