Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Two arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 321 calls for service between Feb. 19 and Feb. 26. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 2,843 calls for service.

Summons

Kevin T. Norwood, 24, of Boothbay was issued a summons Feb. 24 for Motor Vehicle Speeding: 30+ MPH Over Speed Limit, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Arrests

Stephen J. Benner, 31, of Nobleboro was arrested Feb. 22 on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for Violation of Bail, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, where Mr. Benner turned himself in, by Deputy Alonzo Connor.

Benjamin H. Pendleton, 35, of Damariscotta was arrested Feb. 23 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Long Lane, Damariscotta, by Deputy David Bellows.

Accidents

On Feb. 19, an accident occurred on Firth Drive in Boothbay involving Gerard P. O’Brien, 48, of Boothbay Harbor. Mr. O’Brien was operating his 2009 Chevrolet 2500 westbound when he slid off the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 19, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving David W. Reingardt, 63, of Alna. Mr. Reingardt was operating his 2011 Ford F250 northbound when a deer ran out and struck his vehicle. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 20, an accident occurred on Cross Point Road in Edgecomb involving Rebecca E. Taylor, 18, of Edgecomb. Ms. Taylor was operating her 2007 Subaru Impreza southbound when she lost control of her vehicle and went off the right side of the road, where her vehicle’s final position was in a ditch, against a tree. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 20, an accident occurred on State Route 32 in Bristol involving Lara D. Sargent, 47, of Harrington and Ercole A. Pallotto, 28, of Old Town. Ms. Sargent was operating her 2003 Jeep Liberty northbound and attempted to stop when she noticed Mr. Pallotto’s 2018 Dodge Ram in the middle of the road, trying to cross the street. Sargent applied her brakes, however, was unable to stop in time. As a result, she struck the rear end of Pallotto’s vehicle. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Joshua V. Miller, 25, of Jefferson. Mr. Miller was operating his 2002 Buick Lesabre northbound when he slid off the road and into the snow. He then went up into the embankment, causing his vehicle to roll over and come to rest on its roof. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
