Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

On Aug. 6, Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief/burglary to a summer residence in the Nobleboro area. The complainant stated that someone(s) had damaged a window and it is unknown whether anyone entered the cottage.  Further investigation if leads develop.


On Aug. 4, Cory W. Fogleman, 25, of Bath was issued a summons for Operating without a License, on Mills Road, Newcastle, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.

On Aug. 5, Mitchell R. Wotton, 22, of Bristol was issued a summons for Furnishing Place for Minors to Consume/Possess Liquor, on McFadden Farm Road, Bristol, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.


On Aug. 4, Michael R. Emond, Jr., 31, of Jefferson was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on Munsey Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

On Aug. 5, Jay M. Walsh, 39, of Mexico was arrested on a warrant out of Alfred Superior Court for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy John Braley.

On Aug.6, Jason D. Hunter, 33, of Bristol was arrested for Assault and Violating Condition of Release, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Sgt. Aaron Beck.

On Aug. 6, Sean M. Hunter, 35, of Bristol was arrested for Violating Condition of Release and Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.

On Aug. 7, Sherrie L. Demmons, 50, of Warren was arrested for Operating under the Influence, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, Wiscasset, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

On Aug. 8, Brandon W. Campbell, 29, of Woolwich was arrested on a Lincoln County District Court warrant for Unpaid Fines, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.


On Aug. 6, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving John T. Haworth, 51, of Newburyport, Massachusetts; Roger Noel, 67, of Methuen, Massachusetts; and Timothy R. Badgley, 59, of Bristol. Mr. Noel was stopped southbound in his 2012 Lexus LS460 in traffic to allow Mr. Haworth to enter Route 1 from Route 27 in his 2006 Ford Explorer. Mr. Badgley was operating his 2008 Dodge Avenger northbound on Route 1. Haworth did not see Badgley’s vehicle and failed to yield the right of way.  As a result, Haworth's and Badgley’s vehicles collided, causing Badgley’s vehicle to rotate and strike Noel’s vehicle. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 5, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving John C. Thomas, 27, of Damariscotta and Christopher P. Barrows-Colby, 21, of Brooklyn, Connecticut. Mr. Barrows-Colby was operating his 2000 Ford Focus southbound in the left turn lane. Mr. Thomas was operating his 2014 Ford F-150 southbound in the travel lane when Mr. Thomas changed lanes into the southbound left turn lane and struck Barrows-Colby’s vehicle. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
