Live and silent auctions at St. Giles Jefferson Aug. 24

Thu, 08/22/2019 - 8:15am

The St. Giles basement is filling up fast with great items for the church’s Saturday, Aug. 24 yard sale, silent and live auctions, and homemade pie sale. The offerings include new power tools plus many other used tools such as a table saw and nail guns, and a fine canoe. Items for the home include antique tables and chairs, handmade quilts, and two certificates for four hours of professional organizing services.

The sale of dozens of handmade pies will continue a St. Giles tradition. Other homemade consumables will include jams and pickles and a large basket of fresh organic produce.

Three days at an Arrowsic cottage on the water will go to the high bidder, as will horseback riding lessons, pet-sitting services, a boat trip on Belfast Bay, bicycles, new infant/child gear and clothing, a basket of green cleaning supplies, an under-seat rolling suitcase, and QuickBooks help.

There will be burgers and hot dogs from Bill’s grill, and many additional “treasures” at garage sale prices.

Hours of the event are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the church hall and under the pines in the church yard. The silent auction will end at noon and the live auction will begin at 12:30.
