Live Edge Music Festival around the corner
Midcoast Conservancy is excited to announce the 7th annual Live Edge Music Festival on Sunday, Aug. 19, 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Five Maine bands will rock the Barn at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson with a fabulous line-up of local music. A limited number of advance tickets are on sale now and come with an enticing offer!
Purchase a ticket for $20 and get a coupon good for up to $20 on a second entrée at any of 13 participating restaurants: Newcastle Publick House, Damariscotta River Grill, Montsweag Farm, Salt Pine Social, Sarah’s Cafe, Frontier Café, Mughal Palace, Best Thai, A-1 Diner, Cloud 9 or Slates.
Music begins at noon. If you don’t want to miss a single note arrive at least 30 min. early to catch the parking lot shuttle to the gate (1.2 mi) and walk 0.2 miles into event. Handicapped rides available. The band line-up promises a toe-tapping day of tunes: Primo Cubano, Dominic Lavoie, Chris Ross & the North, Zulu Leprechauns and 32 North will all bring their musical talents to the Live Edge stage. The Surimem Belly Dance Troupe will also be performing. Between acts, explore the nearly-30 miles of trails at Hidden Valley Nature Center.
There will be food on sale from the Alna General Store, along with beer from Allagash, Sheepscot Brewing, Lake St. George Brewing and Lone Pine.
