Come celebrate! The renovations are complete, and the historic Merry Barn in Edgecomb is opening its doors Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Stephanie Noyes McSherry, a literacy educator, has realized her long-held dream of creating a literacy center to share her passion for writing with children and teachers.
Once a working barn and a storied dance hall, whose history dates back to the 1700’s, this beautiful landmark has been nurtured back to life. The multiple-story barn has been painstakingly preserved and will host summer writing retreats for children, literacy workshops for educators, and a host of fun community events.
Join us this Saturday for a tour of the renovations, browse our reading room, and enjoy tasty treats. Learn about summer camps for children, workshops for educators, and upcoming community events. We invite you to share your memories and stories of the Merry Barn or propose an idea for a community gathering in this beautiful space.
The Merry Barn is located at 417 River Road, Edgecomb. Learn more about the Merry Barn at www.merrybarn.com or contact Stephanie Noyes McSherry directly at, 207-752-2018, firstname.lastname@example.org.
