The Damariscotta Open Mic is now at Savory Maine and the next one is a benefit for the March of Dimes.
Join us on Wednesday, April 12 for dinner and live music! Refreshments and food will be available for purchase all night and Savory Maine's full menu will be available. Families are welcome and reservations are recommended but not necessary.
The open mic will run from 6-8:30 p.m., with a 15-minute break. Musician signup is at 5:30 p.m. The open mic is a series of eight-minute, two-song slots, and is designed for individual or small group performances. Musicians, singers, poets and other performers will demonstrate their talents.
The mission of the March of Dimes is prevent premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality through research, programming, advocacy and education. 100% of the money raised in Maine stays in the state. Savory Maine will donate half of the proceeds from all sales for the evening. Additional contributions to the March of Dimes will be gratefully accepted. The March of Dimes annual event March for Babies will be held on April 30 in Portland. Team Garron is comprised of 20 members walking in memory of Garron Adam Martin, son of Aubrey and Dan Martin of The Animal House. Garron was born prematurely and died in 2009.
