Pinkhams celebrate 40th wedding anniversary

Michael and Louanne Pinkham, lifetime residents of Wiscasset, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Feb. 17 in Brunswick with family.

The bridal party in 1979 consisted of best man Glendon Russell and groomsmen Alan Pinkham and Joel James. The matron of honor was Roseanne Boykin and bridesmaids were Katie Soule Rackliff, Lisa Curtis and Sherry Colby Barnes. Ring bearer was Ernest Pinkham and flower girl was Rachel Boykin McCarty.

Six of their seven children were present for the celebration; daughter Heidi Souza now resides in California and couldn’t attend. Present were daughters Deborah Ranta, Sheena Smith and Marion Pinkham, along with sons Michael, Adam and Travis. All but one of their eight grandchildren were present as well. Louise Speece created the beautiful anniversary cakes. It was a fun time for all.

Louanne is a 1978 graduate of Wiscasset High School. Michael also received a diploma from Wiscasset. Michael has been a self-employed worm harvester most of his life, along with working in the woods. Louanne retired with over 30 years as a state of Maine employee in 2011. Since then she has worked seasonal at L.L. Bean, Hotel Pemaquid and the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. Her most recent full-time position was with the University of Southern Maine in Portland in 2018.
