Region’s final First Friday a quiet affair

As the 2021 season enters October, the region begins to quiet down until the trees begin showing their brilliant seasonal colors.
The attendance at the Oct. 1 First Friday galleries certainly reflected that quiet. There was a definite low-key vibe going on. People drifted in and out. A few galleries closed early due to low or no art lovers.
Boothbay Harbor galleries participating in First Friday this year were Gleason Fine Art, Studio 53, Gold/Smith Gallery, Ed Brown’s Wharfside Gallery, Joy to the Wind, Ae Home, Boothbay Region Art Foundation, Abacus, and Black River Gallery.
Be sure to add these 2022 First Friday dates to your calendars: June 3, July 1, Aug. 5, Sept. 2 and Oct. 7.
