Social media isn’t just for the big guys! Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media bring new ways to connect locally and globally with customers, vendors, and resources, whether you’re making precision parts or candy, providing graphic design or accounting services.
Are you new to social media? Trying to stay up on what platforms are right for your business or non-profit? In cooperation with Wiscasset Chamber of Commerce and the Maine office of the Small Business Administration, Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission is excited to present “Social Media for Small Businesses” on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the LCRPC office, 297 Bath Road, Wiscasset. The guest speaker is Shannon Kinney, founder and client success officer, AKA “#HeadHoneyBadger” with Rockland-based Dream Local Digital.
Ms. Kinney is a seasoned startup founder and executive with over 25 years of experience. She founded Dream Local Digital in 2009 to bring the power of online marketing to small and medium sized businesses, and also to master the craft of how to make these businesses successful on social media. She has a wide and highly engaged network of leaders in media, technology, and startups worldwide, and has developed Dream Local Digital into a widely recognized brand, one of the leaders in social media fulfillment. With deep experience in sales, marketing, online product development, and leadership, this is Ms. Kinney’s third nationally-scaled digital marketing solution company.
Bring your experiences and questions. You’ll walk away with up-to-date insights, tools, and inspiration! The workshop is free and open to the public. Please register at www.lcrpc.org or with Pat Cloutier, 882-9600 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The snow date is Wed., Feb. 19.
