In preparation for the March 3 Democratic Primary and March 8 Democratic party town caucus, the Westport Island Democrats will meet next Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. For the meeting’s location, please email WestportIslandDems@gmail.com

Holly Stover, state representative for District 89, which includes Westport Island, will take questions and concerns, plus talk about the accomplishments of the past legislative session and what she hopes will be achieved in 2020. Stover  is running for re-election and will be looking for help on her campaign. With the presidential race likely to take most of the focus this election, we must not lose sight of the need to support those who’ve been working hard for our interests in Augusta.

There will be a chance for some discussion about the Democratic presidential candidates. But this discussion will be limited so the meeting can focus on local and statewide concerns, plus some opportunities for volunteering and organizing this winter and spring.
