Wiscasset to celebrate generations July 4 with fireworks, food, parade, flag-raising

Wiscasset Parks and Recreation announced the following plans for July 4:
This year's parade theme will be celebrating our "Generations." Parade line-up on Churchill Street, facing north
Route: Hooper Street to Federal Street to Main Street to Water Street.
10 a.m. parade start led by American Legion Post 54. Parade finish, approximately 11:30 a.m.
After the parade:
Post 54 Veterans Memorial Salute and Flag Raising at Wiscasset waterfront. Parade Float winners announced. Strawberry Shortcake for sale at Wiscasset Yacht Club. Music and games on the Recreational Pier. Wiscasset Fire Department, hot dogs.
Approximately 9 p.m./9:30 p.m. (Dusk): Fireworks Over the Sheepscot
You must pre-register to be judged in the parade. Registration forms must be turned in by 12 p.m. Thursday, July 3. They can be turned in at Wiscasset Community Center or emailed to dgoud@wiscassetrec.com
