A rear-end crash near The First National Bank on Gardiner Road, Wiscasset had traffic down to one lane and briefly shut down traffic about 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6. Wiscasset Police Chief Larry Hesseltine and Patrol Officer Cory Hubert said at the scene, Robert Roberts, 64, of Wiscasset, driving a 2018 Ford Eco Sport SUV, received minor facial injuries when he was waiting to turn left into the bank and Timothy Harris, 49, also of Wiscasset, in a 2010 Chevy 2500 truck, rear-ended the SUV.

Wiscasset Ambulance Service met with Roberts, police said. Both vehicles were towed; the SUV was likely totaled and the truck probably had roughly $8,000 in damages, police said.
