Chief Larry Hesseltine reported the following for Nov. 1-17:

Arrests:

On Nov. 7,  Nathaniel Betts, 21, of Wiscasset for failing to notify of motor vehicle accident and operating while license suspended or revoked.

On Nov. 7, Jasper Orne, 36, of Pittston for violation of protective order.

On Nov. 8, Jason Walsh, 37, of Wiscasset for violation of protective order.

On Nov. 12, Kevin James, 60, of Wiscasset for operating while license suspended or revoked and failing to maintain vehicle insurance.

On Nov. 13,  Lenan Garricks, 33, of Wiscasset for violation of protective order, terrorizing, violating condition of release.

On Nov. 17, Allen Barker, 52, of Pownal for OUI (alcohol) and violating condition of release.

Accidents:

On Nov. 8, police responded to a crash on Bath Road near Oxhorn Road. A 2011 BMW driven by Greg Gimbel, 66, of Brunswick was struck by a 2007 Toyota driven by Timothy Buczkowski, 65, of Wiscasset. The Toyota failed to yield the right of way. The BMW sustained functional damage to the center passenger side. The Toyota sustained minor damage to the front.

On Nov. 9, police responded to a crash on Bath Road near Oxhorn Road. A 2006 Ford truck driven by Kyle Viele, 24, of Wiscasset was struck by another 2006 Ford truck, driven by Nancy Hemner, 69, of Westport Island, who failed to yield the right of way. Viele’s truck was towed due to disabling damage to the undercarriage. Hemner’s truck was towed due to disabling damage to the front.

On Nov. 12, police responded to a crash near the intersection with Hooper Street. A 2010 GMC pickup driven by Brandi Arsenault, 38, of Boothbay, was northbound making a right turn when it was struck by a 2005 GMC pickup driven by Kevin James, 60, of Wiscasset, which was following too closely. James’ GMC sustained minor damage to the front, while Arsenault’s vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear.

On Nov. 12, police responded to a crash at the intersection of Bath and Birch Point roads. A 2013 Ford SUV driven by Richard Mcgrath, 60, of Westport Island was stopped in traffic when the vehicle was hit by a 2003 Toyota driven by Lhea Sellick, 35, of Newcastle. The Toyota was following too closely. The SUV sustained functional damage to the rear, while the Toyota sustained functional damage to the front.

On Nov.  13, police responded to a crash on Willow Lane. A 2004 Toyota car driven by Kirah Despres-Bowman, 20, of Brunswick was westbound and swerved due to a slippery road surface.The car ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. It was towed due to disabling damage to the front.

On Nov. 14, police responded to a crash on Gardiner Road. A 2001 Chevrolet pickup driven by Dillon Theriault, 24, of Wiscasset ran off the road, flipped and landed on its side. The pickup was towed due to disabling damage to the top/roof and rear axle.

On Friday, Nov. 15, police responded to a crash on Foye Road near Dickinson Road. A 2004 Subaru, driven by Jaime Hussey, 28, of Wiscasset was eastbound and lost control due to black ice. The Subaru was towed due to disabling damage to the front.

On Nov. 16, police responded to a crash on Gardiner Road near Fowle Hill Road. A 2008 Honda SUV operated by Helen Raymond, 71, of Pittston ran off the road. The Honda had no observable damage but was towed due to Raymond being transported via Wiscasset Ambulance Service to the hospital.

On Nov. 17, police responded to an accident on Bath Road at Birch Point Road. A 2010 Subaru driven by Amanda Buzby, 40, of Gardiner was stopped on Bath Road facing south waiting to make a left-hand turn onto Birch Point Road. Allen Barker, 52, of Pownal, driving a 2001 Volvo was traveling south on Bath Road and did not see the Subaru stopped in time to avoid running into the rear of the Subaru. A 2018 Hyundai SUV driven by Ashley Gagnon, 35, of Wiscasset was traveling north and was hit on the driver's side with flying debris. Barker was charged with Operating Under the Influence.

On Nov. 17, police responded to an accident in a parking lot on Bath Road.  A 2013 Toyota car operated by Craig Elliott, 75, of Bristol and an Acura SUV driven by Kristina Gorman, 48, of Westport Island, collided in the lot as Elliott attempted to make a left turn. The Toyota sustained minor damage to the front passenger corner. The Acura sustained functional damage to the front driver corner.
