    Wiscasset Police Department reported the following for Jan. 1-15:

    Arrests

    Jan. 1, Dean Caton, 23, of Wiscasset was arrested for Assault, by Officer Scott Getchell.

    Jan. 2, Dustan Barnes, 31, of Richmond was arrested on an arrest warrant out of Cumberland County, by Officer Jonathan Barnes.

    Jan. 12, William Dunning, 32, of Wiscasset was arrested on two counts of Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer and two counts of Violation of Conditions of Release, by Chief Larry Hesseltine.

    Jan. 12, William Dunning, 32, of Wiscasset was arrested for Trafficking in Prison Contraband and Violation of Conditions of Release, by Officer Getchell.

    Jan. 13, Jody Reed, 42, of Wiscasset was arrested for Operating Under the Influence and Leaving the Scene of an Accident, by Officer Barnes.

    Summonses

    Jan. 1, Jeremy Wyman, 41, of Wiscasset was summonsed for Criminal Speed, by Officer Getchell.

    Jan. 1, John Melero Rivera, 30, of Rockland was summonsed for Criminal Speed, by Officer Barnes.

    Jan. 2, Shawn Newcomb, 50, of Livermore Falls was summonsed for Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, by Officer Barnes.

    Jan. 6, Michael Hoffman, 44, of Waldoboro was summonsed for Aggravated Reckless Conduct, by Chief Hesseltine.

    Jan. 8, Cristy Brackett, 42, of Auburn was summonsed for Operating with a Suspended Registration, by Sgt. Perry Hatch.

    Jan. 11, James Paterson, 36, of Alna was summonsed for Attaching False Plates and Operating after Suspension, by Officer Barnes.  .

    Jan. 12, Stanley Lawrence, 35, of Wiscasset was summonsed for Operating After Suspension.  

    Jan. 12, Ayotunde Thompson, 39, of Brunswick was summonsed for Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, by Officer Getchell.

    Jan. 14, Kevin Li, 21, of Brunswick was summonsed for Criminal Speed, by Officer Getchell.

    Accidents

    Jan. 9, Officer Nathan Willhoite responded to an accident on Bath Road near the Woolwich line. Bertrand Lewis, 51, of Brockton, Massachusetts was traveling south on Bath Road when the vehicle left the roadway. Lewis overcorrected and the vehicle slid across the roadway, striking a pole and a guardrail before coming to rest in a wooded area. Minor injuries were reported.

    Jan. 11, Chief Hesseltine responded to a deer vs. motor vehicle crash on Gardiner Road.  Holly York, 36, of Fayette was traveling southbound when a deer ran into the road. York was unable to avoid the deer and struck it.  No injuries to York were reported.  

    Jan. 13, Officer Barnes responded to an accident on Dickenson Road. Jody Reed, 42, of Wiscasset was traveling northbound when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a telephone pole. No injuries were reported.
